A script-reading and aural mise en scène for «Once and for all».

Set inside the office of the "Bureau tot Bevordering van het Kinine-gebruik" (Bureau for the Promotion of the Use of Quinine) in 1926 at the Wittenkade 48, in Amsterdam.

For the best listening experience, headphones are recommended.

Disappearing Landscapes is a live project of artistic & philosophical research that investigates:

  1. The production of knowledge and ignorance about quinine and the Cinchona tree, which was endemic to the forests of the Andes and is now practically extinct.
  2. The networks that connected the South American forests with the industrial landscape of their exploitation in the Netherlands, and around the world.
  3. An aspiration to make these histories and their reverberations tangible.
